Josh Lambert

Exercise Physiologist

Josh is the founder of PREP Health & Performance and a practicing Exercise Physiologist. He has spent years in high performance sports settings and has treated across a number of private practices in Sydney and Wollongong. Josh's passion for his work is governed by 3 key principles:

Josh's Story

​

Josh played professional Rugby League for the Cronulla Sharks until four ACL injuries lead him to 5 knee surgeries within 3 years. This fuelled Josh's thirst for knowledge in areas of physical performance, injury rehabilitation and the human body. Since then, Josh has completed three university degrees in the field of exercise, worked in 2 NRL clubs, been able help hundreds of athletes prepare for competition, is teaching at university and is lucky enough to share his knowledge and experience with clients everyday at PREP.

Personal Interests

​

When Josh isn't at the clinic he continues to stay active in the community with young athletes as a strength & conditioning coach at the Illawarra Academy of Sport and Illawarra Sports High School. He also tutors at the University of Wollongong in the Graduate Certificate of Strength & Conditioning. In his spare time you will find him on the beach with his family, surfing or playing sport.

Through Josh's programming and advice, I improved my strength, power, endurance and mobility, and saw massive improvements in my on-court performance. He is amazing to work with, and went above and beyond to help in any way he could. I would definitely recommend his services.

Wil Farrar

Physiotherapist & Exercise Physiologist

Wilson is an experienced dual accredited Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist born and raised locally in Wollongong. Since graduating from UOW, Wil has worked extensively with people living with neurological conditions, rehabilitating those with injuries and preparing individuals for sports performance. Wil aims to use exercise as a tool to educate and empower, through building the confidence and capacity of his clients to guide them back to activities that previously brought joy.

Wil's Story

​

Since representing the St George Illawarra Dragons and his state in basketball, Wil uses a combination of his athletic experience and Masters level education to steer his clinical practice whether it be in injury management, chronic disease treatment or physical performance. Since competing, Wil has performed roles with The St George Illawarra Dragons, Spinal Cord Injuries Australia and treated in multiple private practices. Being a rare dual-qualified Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist allows Wil to provide leading treatment to his patients throughout the transitions of acute injury assessment, rehabilitation and return to performance.

Personal Interests

​

Depending on the season you would probably find Wil skiing and snowboarding or relaxing by the beach. That is, if he's not playing golf.

Meet Mikaela, our Physiotherapist with over 6 years of experience in private practice! Mikaela is known for her compassionate nature, fostering strong relationships with her patients to help them reach their rehabilitation goals. She values the power of education and reassurance and combines this with specialized techniques such as dry needling and clinical Pilates to deliver a holistic and personalized approach to meet the individual’s needs.

Mikaela's Story

​

Mikaela’s journey as a physiotherapist has taken her to remarkable heights, including serving as the team physiotherapist for Samoa at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She is experienced, skilled and has a deep understanding of elite athletic performance & rehabilitation. 
Following the recent birth of her son, Mikaela brings a newfound appreciation for women’s health to her practice. This personal journey has further ignited her passion for supporting women and their bodies through all stages of life.

Personal Interests

​

Outside of work you'll find Mikaela juggling the roles of motherhood, while still trying to fill her own cup. She enjoys playing social touch footy, getting out and about with James, going for walks on the beach, catching up with friends for coffee, and quality family time.

PREP Clinic

PREP is located at North Dalton Park, on Pioneer Road, Fairy Meadow. The Clinic has a purpose-built assessment room with a custom designed exercise physiology gym that leads onto the international standard sporting ground. There is ample parking space directly in front of the clinic and it is easily accessed on the ground floor of the stadium.
